San Antonio Bulldog Club
This code of Ethics is established
in accordance with the objectives of the San Antonio Bulldog Club. It is
presented as a guideline for the use of San Antonio Bulldog club members when
buying, breeding, selling and exhibiting Bulldogs. Violators of the San Antonio
Bulldog Club of Texas Code of Ethics will be subject to prompt action under
SABC’s grievance and charge procedures as set forth in Article 1 section 2nd
Article VII, Sections 1 through 4 of the Club Constitution.
As a member
of the
1.
Abide by the
constitution and by-laws of the San Antonio Bulldog Club and the rules of the
American Kennel Club.
2.
Keep accurate
breeding records, registration papers and pedigrees.
3.
Furnish records
to each buyer of all shots and worming, pedigree and AKC registration or
transfer documents, unless written agreement is made at the time of sale that
papers will be withheld.
4.
Conduct all
services and sales agreements in mutually agreed upon manner stated in writing
and signed by all parties involved.
5.
Maintain the best
possible standards of canine health, cleanliness and care.
6.
Conduct all
advertising in an honest manner, that will not in
anyway misrepresent, defraud or mislead.
7.
Offer only dogs
for stud and bitches for breeding that are in good health and free from
communicable diseases and disqualifying genetic faults.
8.
Not breed any stud dog to any bitch whose owner
is directly involved with any puppy broker, puppy mill, litter lot sales or any
other commercial enterprise whose business is involved in like activities.
9.
Breed a bitch
only with the intent that this particular breeding will improve the breed.
10.
Not sell a
Bulldog to any commercial facility, puppy broker, pet shop, puppy mill or agent
thereof.
11.
Conduct myself at
all times in such a way as to reflect credit on the sport of purebred dog
showing in general and Bulldogs in particular
